We massively value children at Kings and we want to teach them to live like GIANTS, where their size comes from who they are and not how old they are. There is no reason why a child cannot make a difference in their world as they grow in their faith and love for Jesus. Our desire is to help children build God-centred lives with a passion for other people.
Our Giants Programmes happen every week during the main Sunday service and are designed to be fun and engaging, teaching Bible principles and truths. We have different set-ups for distinct age groups to make it relevant (*These age groups are in development at our Blackpool and Wigan campuses):
( All Campuses )
At our Bolton campus we have a room available for mums to go with babies 12 months and under, with a live audio stream of the main service running. A nappy-change station, nappies, wipes and microwave are provided. This facility is being developed at our Blackpool and Wigan campuses, but parents are free to use the café facilities during the service or the designated nappy-changing stations in the accessible toilets.
Each week parents need to register their children (1-11s) where they will receive a coloured wristband. Those with new children will be asked to complete a Parental Consent form. During the service, all children will be released to join their relevant programme and will rejoin you in the Main Auditorium before the end. If they are any problems during the service, your child's unique ID number will be used to alert you.
All Giants volunteers are known to Kings Church and go through a process of training and induction in order to serve, including a DBS check. Kings Church wants to create an environment where children feel safe, valued and significant. Our Child Safeguarding policy is reviewed annually and all volunteers recommit to supporting and implementing key procedures.
We believe that young people are not the future of the church... they are the church right now! We also believe that young people can live a better and more exciting life when they enter in to a relationship with Jesus and we are committed to seeing them journey towards everything God has created them to BE and DO!
Encounter takes place every Friday night at our Bolton Campus, from 7.30-9.30pm (doors open at 7pm) and at our Blackpool Campus, from 7-9pm. The place is packed out with young people aged between 11-18 and These nights are full of fun, inspiration and amazing opportunities to not only meet new people and build great relationships but to hear life changing talks from the Encounter Team.

Encounter Youth is completely free, so just turn up and join in the fun! When you come for the first time, we'll take a few details and then send a pack home which includes a consent form for your parent / guardian to fill in (emergency contacts, allergies etc). Once completed, hand it back in and we'll keep it in our records. This form gets updated on an annual basis.
All our volunteers at Encounter Youth are trained and have gone through necessary safeguarding procedures (including DBS checks). We want to create an environment where young people feel safe, valued and significant. Our Child Safeguarding policy is reviewed annually and all volunteers recommit to supporting and implementing key procedures.
The young people of Encounter Youth are incredible and playing a part in their spiritual growth is very rewarding! We get an opportunity on a daily basis to encourage them to be all they were born to be. If you’re interested in helping out on the team in any way, even behind-the-scenes, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you!

Young Adults meet fortnightly through Life Lounge on Wednesday evenings to catch up on life, unpack the Bible and hang out together. In 2016 we also launched our monthly Young Adults Link events on Sunday nights, with space for some inspirational input, great worship and free pizza! Also look out for a whole host of other socials and events across the year.
To find out more, stay connected to our social media pages. We are here to help you and offer support in whatever way we can. Drop us a line, tweet us, message us or just introduce yourselves on Sundays. We'd love to hook up!
Visitors come to Kings Church for all sort of reasons, but they stay for only one: they make friends here. Life Lounges are a great way to get connected with others at Kings and grow in your faith. They are gatherings of 10-20 people who meet together fortnightly in homes all across the region, facilitated by pastoral leaders who offer support and encouragement.
Life Lounge will help you build a greater sense of community as the church continues to grow. They are a perfect place to meet new people, unpack some great discipleship material and connect with the broader vision, whilst having a lot of fun along the way! Being part of a Life Lounge is an essential part of growing with Kings Church – so check out the maps below to find out which one is nearest to you.

#LOVEDOES is the banner over all of our community outreach projects at Kings. We want to mobilise people to serve and invest into their local area, to do something great to give back to our community! We do this by encouraging and resourcing local people to make a practical difference. From community clean-ups and tending local gardens, to visiting elderly residents and free-gift giveaways, our volunteers want to put love into action.
People often talk about bringing change, but we really want to be that change in our local community. We love the areas around our Kings Centres and want to do something to make them even greater! Our projects run all year round so if we can support in any way, or if you would like to refer someone else for support, please do get in touch. Check out some of the pictures below to see what we've been doing so far!
The #LOVEDOES 2017 Community Mission day is happening on Saturday 17th June across all Kings Church campuses!
In the meantime, if you've seen some of our teams at work - maybe you've had your alleyway cleaned, garden tended to or just received a free gift - we'd love to hear from you.
Mini Giants is a weekly group for crèche, nursery and preschool children and their carers - whether mums, dads, grandparents or childminders. There is loads of space and great toys for active play, a different craft activity each week and snack-time!
Great for parents who want to get out of the house and meet up with other parents and toddlers. Check out the facebook pages for updates on special events!
Young Adventurers was a special community project that provided unique activity and adventure schemes for 6-13 year old children with disabilities. This project has provided much-needed support for families to build relationships, exchange ideas and discover new opportunities.
The project ran for 3 years and closed in July 2016. Over that time we have been able to support many families with children who have disabilities and resource them to succeed. While the project is no longer running in the same format, we are as equally committed to helping families and providing as much support as possible. We have skilled volunteers, who are also parents of children with disabilities, to help you connect to activities and services at Kings Church, or just provide a listening ear!

The REACH Project is an outreach service to the local community, working with families in need to support them to achieve positive outcomes. The project was born out of a heart to get help to vulnerable families at the earliest opportunity, considering all members, and providing a tailored package of support as they move forward.
The project was only launched in 2015 and is currently ran from our Bolton campus, but is starting to gather momentum as families are referred. REACH volunteers are effectively trained and equipped to assist families in diverse ways, covering areas such as:
To refer to the project please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may be a professional individual, a local organisation or even referring yourself for support - we would love to hear from you.
To volunteer or get involved, please also get in touch! We are looking to expand the team to offer support to even more families. Once trained, the minimum commitment is only 1-2 hours a week.
Everyone needs a safe place where they can talk. Sometimes people have issues in life which can cause immense pain and upset, stopping them from moving forward. Counselling is great way to help. Grace is a free service, run by fully trained and qualified counsellors, open to anyone who needs a confidential place to talk.
For information or to refer, please contact email@example.com or call the Bolton Campus office and we will arrange for a call back from a relevant team member.
Every man needs a band of brothers. We are wired for adventure and bravery but face unique challenges in today's world. At Kings we want to empower men to become the best husband, father, colleague, student and man of God they can be, whilst living out the adventure to which they are called!
KINGSMEN nights are a place where men can journey and grow together with other men, laugh together, learn together and build strength for the future.
In their busy and often fast-paced worlds, women balance a whole host of responsibilities that demand their attention. Kids and careers, homes and husbands, the list goes on! Into that world we want women to know the incredible value that God has placed on them, and so live confidently and securely in every area of their lives.
PRICELESS nights are all about equipping women to live full, purposeful lives that release blessing and make lasting change in the world around them.
